Fishing with Chad Becker

I want to write to tell you that I enjoyed my recent steelhead trip to the Clearwater River. It was a great experience fishing a beautiful river with an exceptional guide Chad Becker. My passion for fly fishing continues to grow and as I write this note to you I realize that so much of my feeling about the trip were a result of spending three days with Chad. He was a master at putting me in the right place on the river, understanding my strength and capabilities as a fisherman. He had just the right sense to know when to coach and when to stay in the background. We spoke about fly fishing as time permitted. It was clear that he loves guiding and fly fishing. Chad shared his fishing knowledge with me as I asked questions about the river. I realize now that his energy, knowledge and enthusiasm was as much a part of my enjoyment as the fish and the river.

I have had the good fortune to work with many fishing guides over the years. Most experiences have been good ones. When I have an exceptional experience, I think it deserves noting. To me Chad Becker represents the best of what the guiding profession has to offer. A committed professional who can give of himself so that others can experience what he loves.
